Bavarian Sledding
Both children and young-at-heart adults can look forward to boundless fun in the snow: Try some Bavarian sledding on the hills in town or on a more challenging sled run outside of town.
The regional "Hütten-Rodel-Kombi" is very popular. It's a delightful combination of hiking up a groomed trail or forest service road to a cozy mountain lodge, stopping in for tasty food and hot spiced wine or children's punch or other drinks and then sledding back down into the valley afterwards. Before sundown or after dark with a headlamp or a full moon lighting the way!
A most special sled run: Buchenberg
This sled run of 2.5 km/1.6 mi offers an exciting ride down. And what's special: The run is illuminated until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and even until 11 PM during the Mardi Gras/Carnival season !
And if you don't have a sled of your own, no problem! You can borrow one free of charge from Hotel Sommer. (subject to availability)
